Misused, Bent, Broken, Required

We had an occasion again where our technician failed [ for safety] a fleet of forklifts for not having load back rests. They’d been removed because enough of them had become damaged it was “sightlier” that they just weren’t there. Point to the wise, they make horrible chain anchors when you’re pulling or lifting something, bars often bend, and in a lot of cases welds break and your load and a part of your load backrest falls to the ground. Our customer thankfully only required some simple clarification as to the common sense of having them present and will now be working towards replacing them.
