The forklift was developed in the early 20th century by various companies, including Clark, which made transmissions, and Yale & Towne Manufacturing, which made hoists.[1][2][3] Since World War II, the use and development of the forklift truck have greatly expanded worldwide. Forklifts have become an indispensable piece of equipment in manufacturing and warehousing.[4] In 2013, the top 20 manufacturers worldwide posted sales of $30.4 billion, with 944,405 machines sold.[5] With that said, a forklift truck is just a machine, not capable of spiteful thoughts right? Maybe their not “thoughts”, but as owners and operators, we can push them in directions that will cause them to deal us some very negative consequences.

Electric forklifts are awesome! Electric forklifts are low-emission vehicles that are less maintenance than an internal combustion forklift while maintaining a similar workload as its internal combustion counterpart. This is due to the high-powered forklift battery. With that said, electric forklifts require some unique care that other types of equipment might not require. Excuse Me, Your Cauliflower Is Showing

When the battery is used it gasses, this gas builds up on the top of your battery forming a white crusty layer that can create an electrical circuit to the industrial battery’s outer metal case. Not a good thing as this ground shortens the life of your battery, additionally with the sophistication of the electronics on newer electric units, these grounds can threaten the truck’s electrical components.
